Over the past few weeks I have been on a crazy summer adventure with FUZE tea. In the spirit of Trying Something New FUZE tea has launched a wide range of different flavours that are out of the ordinary but taste really good , in the same spirit I’ve been challenged to do things I would ordinarily never do.

My first challenge was making my own martini infuzed with FUZE tea, the FUZE tea brought a different and unique taste to the martini .The second had me spending a day with two lovely ladies who showed me their passions – cooking and planting. The third was something I never imaged I could do: let someone else be The Threaded Man for a day.

My FUZE Muze is Thato K  a young law student at Wits and he’s an avid follower of my portal and work. For a whole day, Thato would be taking the lead in my meetings, dressing like me, styling my clients and hosting my show on local radio. In being me for the day the challenge was to take the FUZE tea lead and bring something new and his own style

The day started with Thato and I putting together our outfits, inspired by the FUZE tea colours while still maintaining a subtle Threaded style. We then headed to a meeting with DNA Brand Architects who work with The Threaded Man on various projects, and Thato took the lead in the meeting, learning about influencer marketing.

We swiftly moved to Sandton, where we met with our client Nomuzi Mabena, a local celebrity and performer who we style. The meeting was to brainstorm ideas for her next performances, and Thato also got to find out what it takes to style a celebrity.

Finally, Thato got to co-host with Ari on a local radio station where The Threaded Man is a regular co-host for a slot called The Next Movement. This was Thato’s first time on radio and nothing was rehearsed before we threw him in the deep end, but to his credit he handled it well.

My aim with this day was to take Thato behind the scenes of what The Threaded Man does. Because I work in fashion, people think it’s glamorous and all I do is attend fashion shows, but it’s hard work and challenging to wear different hats; on the same day I can be a stylist, a radio host and a copywriter.

Through this experience I also learned something: I’m blessed to do what I do as not many people get to live their dreams and spend every day doing what they love. Thank you FUZE tea for this experience, I love that FUZE tea is a brand that challenges the youth to embrace being themsleves and be Unique

Summer holidays are here and I challenge you to Try Something New!
