Over the past six years we’ve seen the sneaker culture reach fever pitch all around the world. Sneakers are no longer the shoes associated with skateboarders and rappers, they’re worn by everyone, everywhere. Part of the appeal is that they complement any outfit – whether it’s formal or smart.

I love sneakers and to get you to share my passion I’ll be doing a monthly feature where I talk shoes! Here are my top three sneakers for December:

Adidas Originals NMD

Taking design cues from retro sneakers such as the Micro Pacer, Rising Star and Boston Super, NMD sneakers bring a new silhouette to the urban dweller. The NMD features a primeknit upper finish which has a sock-like design, and the sole has Ultraboost technology for maximum comfort. These sneakers are perfect as they can go with anything, from your gym clothes to your classic summer look.

Adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor Black/White

Finding the perfect summer sneakers to go with your shorts can be a mission, but recently Adidas dropped an all-time classic for the holidays. A shoe that was originally designed for indoor footy is now back and ready to be taken onto the street. This sneaker has the details in the right place, starting with a black base and three white stripes. The sole is finished with gum and there is gold detailing throughout the sneaker.

Adidas Originals Stan Smith “Onix”

This year has been the year of the Stan Smith and, in my book, it goes down as the most versatile sneaker of 2015. Adidas are now entering a new phase with the Stan Smith, bringing in different textures and colours. The latest sneakers that have caught my eye are the Onix. They’re grey and finished with a lux suede, which will stand out in every urban setting you find yourself in.
