Daily Paper travelled to South Africa to shoot a lookbook for their upcoming Fall/Winter 2017 collection titled “Children of the City”.
The brand has a trademark penchant for drawing inspiration from Africa by doing in depth research on various aspects and interpreting the information into original designs and prints. For this collection, they looked to South Africa’s street style metropolises in “a quest to explore the concept of stealth and survival through the eyes of its youth.”
Shot with street-casted models in Cape Town and Johannesburg, the results were an extraordinarily atmospheric fashion photo series with a touch of documentary elements that uses the streets of South Africa as a stylish backdrop.
“The children of the city are all about finding and expressing their own unique identity and sharing this with the rest of the world.”
